Youth Programs
For the younger generation, film is the perfect means to discover the world of fine crafts. FIFMA 2016 will give over 400 young people from Seine-Saint-Denis the opportunity to take part in an introduction to fine crafts. Classroom sessions with fine craft professionals and film directors, artisan workshops, and museum visits. The aim is to contribute to equal opportunities by introducing young people to culture, providing them with the opportunity to discover exceptional savoir faire, and triggering inter-generational human encounters with those who practice little-known and fascinating jobs.
To stimulate professional callings, generate personal passions or simply to awaken the curiosity of young people.
The program, organised by La Fondation Ateliers d’Art de France, will start with fine craft discovery sessions from January to April, followed by a festive Young Audience Day on 7 April 2016 at Ciné 104 in Pantin, and will conclude on 10 April at Le Méliès movie theatre in Montreuil with the primary and secondary school awards ceremony.
