A STAINED GLASS FOR 1000 YEARS

Synopsis :

To celebrate its 1000th birthday, The Strasbourg Cathedral produced a new stained-glass window in the Saint Catherine chapel. The photographer Véronique Ellena was chosen for the project; after photographing 150 anonymous faces, the artist juxtaposed them and designed, on one side of the glass, the face of a monumental benedictory Christ, inspired by a Hans Memling painting. On the other side, a tribute is paid to the beauties of nature. The work was created with the great master glass artist Pierre Alain Parot.
