Synopsis :

On the small island of Iriomote, in the southwest of the Japanese archipelago, Akiko makes and weaves banana fiber, dying it with plants from her garden. Her creations, honored by Issey Miyake as well as contemporary art museums, celebrate the communion between mankind and nature.  At 78 years of age, she transmits her passion and shares her secrets for the first time.
