Synopsis :

In 2007, the association Bâtir et Développer and the inhabitants of the island of Ayorou Goungou, located on the Niger River, restored Jean Rouch’s mud House. The engineer, known for his practice of direct cinema and for his ethnographic films on African peoples, for example the Dogon and their customs, is considered the creator of ethnofiction. This film pays tribute to the ethnographer and displays the extraordinary savoir-faire of the female builders of Ayorou.
