Synopsis :

“In the beginning, out of the bowels of the ground sprung the folds of mountain formations under the influence of enormous pressure.” For the 2015 ceramics biennale in Châteauroux, Nicole Giroud returned to a practice abandoned 35 years ago: repurposing an extrusion machine, she created a “telluric thrust,” a one-tonne installation made of uncooked clay and measuring 4 metres in length.
